The new ST suspensions coilovers for a maximum lowering for VW Polo R WRC Street & Co.
With the ST X coilover suspension, every VW Polo of the 6R-Series simply drives sportier. Word!
While these ST coilover kits allow a continuous lowering of up to 30 millimeters at the already from factory lowered Polo, for the Polo GTI and other models of the Polo 6R-series, a lowering of up to 65 millimeters are possible. The adjustment of the lowering is made either at the front axle via the ST trapezoid thread of the several times refined and sealed steel strut or at the proven ST rear-axle height adjustment.
Without restrictions on the driving dynamics, it is possible to adjust the lowering of the current Polo models between 20 - 50 millimeters at the front axle. At the rear, the axle geometry allows a lowering of the body center of gravity by 40 - 65 millimeters. For the special model that is already lower from the factory, the ST coilover kits allow an additional lowering of 5 - 30 millimeters.
The ST coilovers have a parts certificate and due to the new ST customization, all mainsprings can be optionally labeled with a text up to 25 characters long at the time of order and painted in one of 18 RAL colors. The parts certificate for the ST coilovers in the VW Polo (6R) covers a continuously variable adjustment range from 35 to 60 millimeters on both axles.
The days when a coilover suspension was harder than a conventional suspension kit, are long gone. By using shorter damper housings, the spring travel can even be up to one centimeter longer than at the standard suspension. So, despite the lowering, there is enough comfort in everyday life.
The ST coilover kits for the Polo have a suspension setup that was determined in numerous road tests and long-term tests, that provide a more direct handling and better grip at a sporty driving style. While the ST X coilovers have a factory-fixed damper setup, the damping forces of the ST XA and ST XTA can be set more comfortable or sportier.
With the ST suspensions coilover suspensions, the suspension manufacturer KW automotive makes a compromise in the spring rates and damper tuning to maintain the driving comfort. Even with a maximum payload, the Volkswagen continues to drive in sporty comfort. If you decide to buy an ST X and ST XA coilover suspension you have to use the standard dome bearings during assembly. However, it is always recommended to replace the series bearings in used cars with new OEM spare parts. For the XTA coilover suspension, aluminum unibal support bearings for the front axle are an integral part of the scope of delivery. However, due to the design of the VW Polo 6R, it is not possible to change the camber angle of the car by using the unibal bearings. The unibal mounts dramatically improve handling, ideal for drivers who want maximum performance for their Polo.
